Celebrating Student-Led Change – And Calling for Volunteers to Join Us
We’re proud to celebrate the outstanding work of the Mental Health Ambassadors at Invicta Sixth Form — a dedicated group of six Year 12 students who have shown incredible leadership, empathy, and purpose over the past year.
With the guidance of Rachel Perrett from Therapy Partners and in collaboration with our mental health charity Rewrite Your Story, these students have brought mental health awareness to the forefront of their school community.
From hosting powerful seminars and facilitating deep conversations, to producing a compelling mental health strategy paper (recently presented to a cross-party group of councillors at Maidstone Borough Council), their efforts have not gone unnoticed. A huge thank you to Councillor Stephen Thompson, Cabinet Member for Healthier Stronger Communities, for recognising their contribution and supporting youth-led wellbeing initiatives.
But the journey doesn’t stop there.
These inspiring young people are now launching a student-led drop-in clinic and will be delivering wellbeing assemblies across all year groups — helping to embed lasting change in school culture.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Rachel for her passionate leadership, and to the students for being a shining example of what youth voice and commitment can achieve.
