Who We Help
We help children and young people in a variety of ways, to support their mental health and wellbeing, recovery from mental illness, educational journeys, and much more. Our multifaceted approach to maintaining the wellbeing of our younger community members is a key component of our charitable work.
- Therapy & Support Groups
We run support groups across Kent for young people struggling with their mental health and wellbeing
- Eating Disorder Support
We believe that by taking away the stigma that may surround these issues, and by offering psycho-educational support, we can normalise someone asking for help in respect of a mental health condition much in the same way that they would for a physical ailment.
- Working with schools
We have pioneered a WHOLE SCHOOL APPROACH to mental health and wellbeing in schools across Kent, enabling us to make a difference to children and young people in schools across Kent throughout their entire educational lives, and the professionals that work so hard alongside them.
- Early intervention & Raising Awareness
Embedded into everything we do, raising awareness of mental health and helping those that need it as early as possible for the best chance of recovery, is the foundation of our work with not only children and young people, but every member of society.
We Realise that mental health and wellness can affect an individual at any time in their lives. There are life experiences and losses within Adulthood, that may trigger struggles with mental health and wellbeing. Through therapy, support groups and training, our team are able to help you to work through a multitude of emotions, feelings and situations, including;
- Anxiety
- Anger
- Bereavement
- Eating Disorders
- Depression
- PTSD
- Post Partum Depressions
- Stress
- Sexuality Issues
- Relationship Difficulties
- Unemployment, Redundancy & Retirement
The family that we are born into and the family that we make, the way we were raised as children and the way we raise our own all intrinsically impact every aspect of our lives; who we are, how we love, how we communicate, how we understand the world and others.
Maintaining healthy and productive relationships as a family unit, as situations change and children grow, can be challenging. Fortunately, you are not alone.
Group and Individual therapy, couples counselling and training on understanding each other (especially the teenage brain!) are all things we are able to provide to support you and your family, whatever that looks like.
Teacher, Doctor, Gardener, Legal Professional, Customer Service Rep, Manager, an Employee or Self Employed, it doesn’t matter. We want to help.
Whatever your profession, we all bound to experience stress and mental health struggles due to our job from time to time. Mental Wellness and being prepared is key to helping yourself and others whether or not you are a Front Line or Key Worker.
Training on Mental Health Awareness & Signposting, Eating Disorder Awareness, Suicide Awareness and support in dealing with your own mental health are just some of the ways we are able to support professionals.
Carers are an often-overlooked subgroup of our society. Rewrite Your story provides emotional and mental health support to carers of family members at home, and professional front line carers in care homes, hospitals and assisted living facilities.
Carers don’t always wear a uniform or get paid for what they do.
Carers can be any age, race or gender.
Carers are very rarely appreciated and often under great stress.
They are your neighbour, your co-worker, the stranger on the bus, the young person in your class.
No matter who you are, we want to help you Rewrite Your Mental Health.

We believe that, with the right personalised support, anyone with a mental health need can live the life they want to live. It is our vision that everyone gets the personalised services and support they need.
To make this vision a reality, our mission is to help people achieve good physical and mental wellbeing and live life to the full.
We do this by providing mental health support services, ranging from ‘talking therapies’ for men, women, adults, families, children and young people to coaching Workplace wellbeing and Psychoeducational support and training, and all based on the principle of supporting every person, as an individual, towards their own goals and aspirations.
At RWYS we aspire to deliver the highest quality of care and support to individuals, couples children, young people and families. We do this by working alongside you to help you understand who you are, deciphering why you have made the decisions you have in life, learning how to make choices that suit you better and moving forward in life in ways that feel good.
Our aim is to make a real and lasting difference to the people we support by achieving positive outcomes and enabling as normal and fulfilling a life as possible.
Putting people first
Our business is about people, people who need hope and deserve a better future. It’s about finding the spark that enables each of the people we support to grow in self-worth and where possible, independence.
Being supportive
Being a non-judgemental confidential and professional service to the people we support to offer clinical interventions based on the latest scientific research and guidelines.
Acting with integrity
Taking responsibility, being honest in what we do and what we say, keeping it personal and real.
Striving for excellence
Questioning everything in a positive and constructive way and always striving to improve. By doing so, we can make things better for the individuals we support.
Being positive
Seeing potential, seeing what could be and not limitations. Being creative and trying out new things to find the best solutions that make it happen.
